Have you seen this belt???

You've replaced your SC belt, but have you seen one like this? Damn, after I replaced it, I think my SC is actually *spinning* now...before I think the belt was just sliding over the SC pulley.

This is what happened with 10K miles and skipped one tooth (I think).

The more you overtention the blower belt, the shorter its life will be... and your idler pulleys/bearings will suffer the same fate.

actually those plastic pulleys are quite good..no wear at all...If I had those aluminum ones, they would probably worn to the core by now

I've seen a belt like that...when I finaly replaced the original belt that my SC was installed with after more than 30,000 miles. One part of the belt only had 2 rib widths left of belt. None of it had any actual ribs left!!! I could here it spin when I hit WOT. Jim should remember....he replaced it.
